Week 6 This week I learned 3 most important things about what it means to be an entrepreneur. First of them is the “Value of Time”. Every entrepreneur needs to value time. Working within a time frame. Time is the most important asset in doing business. You need to be concise, punctual and active during working hours. Idling time reduces productivity and can be a big source of failure in the business. Another thing to consider is being a “serial Entrepreneur”. Serial entrepreneurs do not get discouraged easily. They are focused and pursue their interest. So, to be an entrepreneur, you have to accept anything that comes along the way. Serials entrepreneurs focus on developing themselves along the path and not necessarily wanting to stuck on only one thing. Again, what it means to become an entrepreneur is to “stuck with your choice” of business. In the field of entrepreneurship, you have to be certain with what you want to
WEEK 5: The Hero’s Journey I was thrilled this week studying and learning about the “The Hero’s Journey”. Now these were among the many insights I learned about the Journey of an entrepreneur. One thing that really stood out to me is that fact that entrepreneurs “learn how to learn” and not necessarily how to make money. In learning how to learn, entrepreneurs focus on making their points but not try to be the smartest person. The reason most entrepreneurs gets stuck at a point is focusing all their attention on how to make money and live a good life, but they will be forgetting that success is not about money but it’s about asking yourself these very important questions in the long run; 1. Have contributed something meaningful? 2. Are my a good person? 3. Who did I love and who loved me? Having these questions in mind helps entrepreneurs understand that their success truly is not the wealth they amaze but the impact their actio
WEEK 4; How Will I Measure My Life? How will you measure your life as an entrepreneur to determine your success or otherwise. In this week’s lessons, I learned about three intriguing but very important question every person or entrepreneurs needs to ask. 1. How can I be sure that I’ll be happy in my career? 2. How can I be sure that my relationships with my spouse, and family become am enduring source of happiness? 3. How can I be sure I’ll stay out of jail. One singular thing that really stood out to me that I wish to share with everyone from now on is family. In every successful entrepreneur’s life, there should be a great investment on the family. No matter how you feel your business needs you attention and time, your spouse and children need you the more. Invest your time with them because they are your greatest accomplishment in life. So, one thing is clear here, every successful entrepreneur who doesn’t invest in his or her family
Week 3:  Honesty and Business Ethics This week was very exciting for me as I studied about ethics and honesty. In fact, it reminded me of a sacrament meeting talk a sister in my ward gave a few weeks ago. Honesty, I learned is one of the most important attributes every business thrive. At work places, and throughout the world, people love to work in an environment of honesty. When we are honest in our businesses, our work places, with people we work with, we feel happy and full determination to give our best. Honesty in finances of a business opens opportunities to expand. As an entrepreneur, your code of ethics should be a driving force in the business. Business Ethics provide a businessman goals of what he wants to achieve and how he wants to achieve. These are moral standards that guide you and anybody who works with you. Without ethics in business is like reading books about how to drive without actually going out to practicing how
