WEEK 2
From Randy Pauch’s transcript and video, Randy was able to achieve his dreams because he never gave up trying to get there. Giving up on your dream is the same as failing in other fields. Randy never gave up his childhood dreams. He worked his way through it. One thing he said that really stood out to me is “never lose a childhood wonder”.
When one persevere and work hard, one will definitely get to his or her dreams. Randy mentioned some interesting principles in relation to working hard for your dreams. Being loyal to people, being kind to people, get all the help you can, be earnest and work with earnest people, and apologizing when you screw up. These are some of the principles I’ve figured are key elements to a successful.
Dreaming is very important in our lives. Dreaming to become who you want to become is like a compass with pointers leading you to your place of destination. It guides you and makes you work hard to get where you want to get. Dreaming boosts your moral and gets you working for your interest.
I’ve always wanted to be a Human Rights Lawyer. I will be able to achieve that goal. I’ve not given up on it yet and will work really hard to go to the Law School after graduation. From the principles I have learned from Randy Pauch’s this week, I feel I’m even more enthused now more that’s ever in wanting to achieve my dream.
What I learned from this week’s lesson on Create a Life of Meaning is setting priorities among the many dreams i want to achieve is the road map to my accomplishment. It’s important to have a plan for my life because planning step by step actually leads us to the ultimate goal.
Awesome Week.
